The edge of the future: young people from India, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan will discuss Arctic development in Salekhard

For the first time, the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area will host the international youth conference 'The Arctic. The Edge of the Future.' This was reported by the newspaper Krasny Sever.
Representatives from 15 regions of Russia and young people from Azerbaijan, India and Uzbekistan attended the forum. Participants included students, scientists, entrepreneurs, diplomats, volunteers and representatives of indigenous small-numbered peoples of the North. The event aims to bring together young scientists and entrepreneurs to develop the Arctic region.
The conference starts on 10 May in Salekhard and will last three days. Sections will work on the themes of science, entrepreneurship and diplomacy.
Young professionals will share experiences and enjoy educational and entertainment programmes. The participants will send the final resolution to the head of the area and the federal ministries in charge.
The event marks the end of Russia's chairmanship of the Arctic Council.
