SC Zvezda to build a series of Arctic shuttle tankers with a deadweight of 120,000 tonnes
The Zvezda shipbuilding complex (Bolshoy Kamen) is preparing to start building a series of ten Arctic shuttle tankers with a deadweight of 120,000 tonnes.

SC Zvezda earlier planned to build a series of ten shuttle tankers for Rosneft's Vostok Oil project. The vessels were supposed to be of the Arc7 ice class.
In September 2019, SC Zvezda established a joint venture with Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) to manage the construction of shuttle tankers with a deadweight of 42,000–120,000 tonnes at the shipyard in Bolshoy Kamen.
The Arctic: Present and Future International Forum is being held in St. Petersburg on 8 and 9 December. The forum's participants aim to join efforts to ensure a sustainable future for the macro-region.
