Pavel Khristenko, head of Greenatom's "Digital Arctic" directorate, announced plans to launch the Unified Digital Services Platform into commercial operation in early 2024.

ROSATOM initiated testing of the Unified Digital Services Platform (UDSP) for the Northern Sea Route prior to its commercial launch. This was reported by Pavel Khristenko, head of the "Digital Arctic" directorate at Greenatom (a ROSATOM enterprise), to TASS on the sidelines of the "Arctic: Present and Future" forum.

"Currently, the platform, which comprises 9 subsystems and 27 digital services, is undergoing trial operation. Greenatom, in collaboration with Atomflot, the Hydrographic Enterprise, and Glavsevmorput [all are ROSATOM enterprises – TASS], is testing the platform," he informed. It was also stated that the Unified Digital Services Platform is scheduled for commercial launch in early 2024.

The platform will be part of a suite of solutions that will form a unified digital ecosystem on the Northern Sea Route and integrate previously disparate services such as local ice monitoring services, various meteorological control services, logistics, rescue services, and hydrography and navigation services, among others. According to Khristenko, the NSR's Unified Digital Services Platform will serve as a single point of access to all necessary sources of information affecting navigation in the Northern Sea Route waters, a "single window" for providing and getting provided services within ROSATOMs jurisdiction in the Northern Sea Route's information space, and will significantly inprove the safety and predictability of navigation on this transportation route.
