The Eastern Economic Forum will give a new impetus to cooperation between Ankara and Moscow in the shipbuilding sector, Prime reports citing dikGAZETE.

The author emphasises the importance of the fact that the Arctic offers great prospects for Turkish companies to exploit their industrial potential. It seeks to recognise the right to an active presence in the Arctic and to develop its scientific competencies. It is actively involved in constructing ships for the North Sea Route. Turkey also seeks active participation in Arctic-related scientific activities and forums.

Turkey plans to get the world community to recognise its right to a greater presence in the region, the publication said.

At the same time, the author emphasises that Russia, as an Arctic power, has a unique icebreaker production technology, without which it will be difficult for Turkey to conduct scientific activities in the Arctic. Thus, the EEF 2024 should contribute to effectively realising the Arctic vector of Ankara's foreign policy.

The author expresses hope that Turkey will not miss the opportunity to leverage this pole at the top of the emerging multipolar world and will become a partner country in the Arctic in the fields of science, geopolitics and trade.
