A resident of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, Uyutny Bereg LLC, will create a glamping site of the same name on the bank of the Nizhny Vyg River in the Belomorsky district of Karelia under an agreement with the Far East Development Corporation, the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic reported. This is reported by RBC.

'The investor will invest RUB 2.7 mn in the project. The ecotourism facility will start welcoming guests from 2027,' the department commented.

Uyutny Bereg LLC was registered in Karelia's Kemsky district in August 2024. Its main activity is providing short-term accommodation.

The project will create a network of six campsites and six glamping sites. 'The interior design will follow the traditional Karelian style: natural materials and local decorative elements will be used, preserving the continuity of indigenous traditions,' the ministry said.

As previously reported, interest in comfortable outdoor recreation is growing in Karelia. Demand for glamping in the republic increased by 81% or 1.5 times over the year. The market share of such accommodation facilities in Karelia amounted to 2%.

By 2028, a glamping site with an open-air swimming pool will be built in the Hiydenselga village, Pitkyarantsky district, Karelia, for RUB 70 mn. In addition to the swimming pool, the glamping site will feature a thermal area with several types of saunas and a restaurant.
