Under the Children of the Arctic program, more than 100 children from Nenets Autonomous Okrug will get a free vacation in Krasnodar Territory

All types of families living in the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation (AZRF) are eligible to apply for a vacation.

NAO has started accepting vacation voucher applications from parents of schoolchildren in grades 5 to 8. The state fully covers the cost of the travel voucher and transportation to and from the vacation destination. To participate in the program, parents must apply before April 1, 2024. This information was reported by the NAO Government's press service.

There are plans to send 122 5th to 8th graders from the Okrug to the SHATE SEL health retreat, located in the village of Olginka, Tuapse District, Krasnodar Territory.

The Children of the Arctic program has been operational since 2022 under an agreement between the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic and the Administration of the Nenets Autonomous District. The agreement provides for subsidies from the federal budget to the Nenets Autonomous District budget to ensure the recreation and health improvement of children living in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation.
