There will be more Children of the Arctic

Over 1.5 thousand children from Yamal will enjoy a vacation at the Black Sea as part of a federal program.

6 December 2023

In 2024, over 1.5 thousand young Yamal residents will vacation at the Black Sea as part of the Children of the Arctic program. This was reported by Nail Khairullin, the head of the Department of YNAA Youth Policy, according to SeverPress.

'The program will run for the third consecutive year. Funds have already been allocated in the federal and regional budgets,' he announced at the concluding press conference.

He reported that this year, 1,696 children from YNAA visited the Smena children's centre and the Madagascar Island camp.

The Children of the Arctic program starts accepting applications in April, which can be submitted by parents of schoolchildren in grades 5–8. Spots in the wellness centres are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, giving priority to parents who apply earlier than others. Each shift lasts for 21 days.
