An Arctic scientific and technological cluster is planned to be established in the Murmansk Region based on the Kola Scientific Centre from the Russian Academy of Sciences. This will significantly boost scientific developments necessary for Russia's Arctic region, according to Andrey Chibis, Governor of Murmansk Region. This was reported by TASS.

'This will significantly enhance scientific potential and increase essential developments for Russia's Arctic region. And also to attract scientists from all over Russia and friendly countries,' Chibis announced on his Telegram channel.

He also discussed regional achievements over the past five years.

'The mechanisms are operational and genuinely effective. And today's strategic projects that we have initiated include gasification. This is transforming our economy's technological framework. Thus, we gain capabilities to process resources we extract, including apatite concentrate among others. This significantly improves people's quality of life,' Chibis reported.
