The first vessel processed under this program was the dry-cargo ship Mikhail Britnev, owned by the Eco Shipping company based in Arkhangelsk. This is reported by the Neftegaz.ru portal.

A batch of dome structure elements for storing liquefied natural gas (LNG) was loaded onto the ship.

As a reminder, at the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024, Murmansk port workers processed three batches of similar cargo, totaling ten spans and weighing 800 tons. This initiative was deemed successful and has been continued. Each span measures 37.8 meters in length and weighs 80 tons, marking a new achievement for MCS in handling long, heavy cargo.

It was previously reported that in 2023, cargo traffic via the Northern Sea Route totaled 36 mln tons, with plans for this year projected to reach around 80 mln tons.
