The head of the republic, Aisen Nikolayev, reported at the II National Health Care 2023 National Congress with International Participation that mobile medical teams in Yakutia have already saved hundreds of lives, serving a population of 70,000. This is reported by RIA Novosti.

Nikolayev states, 'This year in Yakutia, we have Arctic mobile medical teams. They regularly travel to the most remote areas and provide medical examinations, health check-ups, preventive care, disease detection and various medical services to all our residents.'

He further added that these 'mobile doctors' have made almost 20% of new diagnoses that were previously unknown to the patients. In some instances, these diseases have been extremely dangerous. 'We can confidently say today that this system has saved hundreds of lives,' added the head of Yakutia.

Nikolayev pointed out that this initiative has garnered interest from many northern regions and is considered a good practice. 'I believe that the future lies in such comprehensive programs that reach every individual,' he concluded.
