Rosenergoatom Concern is aiding in the development of Chukotka's nuclear towns

The agreement was signed by Vladislav Kuznetsov, Governor of the Chukotka Autonomous Area, and Alexander Shutikov, CEO of Rosenergoatom JSC.

A programme to finance initiatives for 2024–2025 has been signed as part of the collaboration between Rosenergoatom Concern and the Government of the Chukotka Autonomous Area. The initiatives aim at infrastructural and socio-economic development of the district's nuclear towns — Bilibino and Pevek. This was reported by the press service of the Government of Chukotka Autonomous Area.

In Bilibino, plans include equipping the central library, purchasing furniture for kindergartens, schools, the district centre for children's education, the children's and youth sports school, the city museum of local lore, as well as repairing the roof of the sports and recreation complex, intra-block passages, and improving the territory on the Antenna Field.

In Pevek, plans include improving the area around the Iceberg cultural and leisure complex, completing the construction of the city embankment, starting the construction of a sports and recreation complex, among other things.

The regional government, in collaboration with Rasenergoatom Concern, will allocate over RUB 543 mn for the implementation of these measures in Chukotka's nuclear towns.
