Over 9,000 Russians received a free hectare in the Arctic
The programme has been in effect since 2021.
22 October 2024More than 9,000 Russians have already received land under the Hectare in the Arctic programme since its implementation, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Tuesday. This is reported by Interfax.
'More than 9,000 residents (of the Arctic zone) have already received a plot for free use under the Hectare in the Arctic programme,' Mishustin said during the strategic session 'Development of the Arctic Zone of Russia.'
Recall that earlier, State Duma deputies adopted in the first reading a bill to expand the mechanisms of the Hectare in the Arctic programme to the territories of Beloyarsky and Berezovsky municipal districts of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area—Yugra.
The Hectare in the Arctic programme has been in effect since August 2021. Under this programme, everyone can get land in the Arctic zone of Russia for free, as well as independently choose the plot and the way of its use: from the construction of an individual residential house to the realisation of a farming or recreational project.
