Heroes of Russia tell Pomorye schoolchildren about their space work
Young northerners have the opportunity to talk to the Russian cosmonauts and ask them questions during the holiday organised under the Children of the Arctic programme at the Pearl of Russia camp in Anapa.11 July 2023
This year, pupils of fifth to eighth grades from the Arkhangelsk Region went to children's camps located in Anapa and Sochi, where they not only rest on the seashore but also participate in an exciting programme of activities. The Arkhangelsk regional government's press service reported.
Thus, in the Pearl of Russia camp in Anapa, schoolchildren live in the Cosmos boarding house, so, according to the legend of the camp session, they are travelling through the galaxy, discovering new planets. The groups are referred to as crews, and the schoolchildren themselves take pride in being called cosmonauts. A highlight of the camp session is the chance to meet a real cosmonaut.
Yesterday the Pearl of Russia was visited by the Hero of Russia, test cosmonaut Pyotr Dubrov. During the meeting, he shared stories about space flights and answered questions from schoolchildren. This is not the first meeting with the cosmonaut held in the Pearl of Russia. As part of the Children of the Arctic initiative, the first session was visited by Ivan Vagner, the Hero of Russia and test cosmonaut.
