First international conference on water and fisheries to be held in Arkhangelsk
The event will take place on 11–12 May in Arkhangelsk.
16 March 2023The conference is part of the main activities of the Russian chairmanship of the Arctic Council in 2021–2023. The Arkhangelsk regional government's press service reported.
Conference participants will discuss fisheries and conservation of stocks in the Arctic, fisheries and regulation of anadromous fish species, creating infrastructure for the fishing industry in sub-Arctic regions and other topical issues.
It is planned that the conference will be attended by Ilya Shestakov, Head of the Federal Agency for Fishery (Rosrybolovstvo), Svetlana Rodionova, Head of Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources (Rosprirodnadzor), representatives of other interested federal agencies, authorities of the Russian regions, scientific and industrial communities.
