Kutkh Service LLC plans to invest about RUB 6 mn in the construction of a camping park near Anadyr. The company became a resident of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation (AZRF) and received a plot of land on Peschanaya Spit for the project implementation, IA Chukotka reports.

The campground construction project is aimed at budget travellers. Many travellers want to visit Chukotka but are not prepared to pay for hotel accommodation. They will be offered a prepared area to set up their own or rented tents. As noted by the district Governor Vladislav Kuznetsov, the project was supported by the Chukotka Development Fund based at the My Business Centre and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation. The company was provided with 7,000 sq metres near the sledge dog kennel at the Peschanka fishery site to accommodate the camping park.

'The whole project is estimated at RUB 6 mn. We have already loaded the container; as soon as the ship with materials arrives, we will start construction. The site will have two combined forty-foot containers with interior walls removed—a canteen, sanitary facilities and a rental point for recreational equipment. Inside we are planning a large room with a fireplace; we want to make an open space on the second floor of the module. Now the main issues are how to arrange access roads and electricity, how to bring in water, and install a septic tank,' Vladimir Bystrykh, head of Kutkh Service LLC, told the media. The construction works are planned to be completed in June next year, by the beginning of the summer tourist season.

In the first phase, there are plans to prepare the site for 10 two-person tents. It can be expanded in the future if necessary. Tents and sleeping bags, other equipment and machinery up to electric bicycles will be available for rent. Here you will also be able to book excursions to nearby attractions—to the Mikhail and Dionysius Mountains, to the former Gudym missile base.
