The nationwide youth forum Russian North has concluded in Salekhard. Over four days, 100 participants from 20 regions across the country worked on projects aimed at various social and age groups of indigenous minorities. The outcome was a set of initiatives that could be implemented in the Arctic in the near future. This was reported by the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area regional government's press service.

Participants in the 'Promote the Folk' track developed a concept for a marketplace for indigenous Northern peoples, showcasing local products under the slogan 'Stay Ethno-Styled.' Forum participants designed a prototype website, logo and card layouts for the future online store.

On the 'Create Content' track, a proposal was made to create a series of documentaries, while on the 'Become a Leader of the Russian North' track, a concept was developed for a production centre in national relations and a career and social achievement navigator.

On the 'Preserve Languages' track, several projects were created to promote the endangered Evenki language, and multilingual signs were developed to duplicate signage in 5–7 languages at the National Library and the Polaris Youth Centre.

The final product of the 'Inspire Creativity' track was a vocal and choreographic performance. The children performed a dance and sang a song in five languages, showcasing their culture.

For further implementation of their ideas, forum participants can present them in grant competitions organised by Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) and Yamal. As a special partner of the 'Inspire Creativity' and 'Create Content' tracks, the Tavrida.ART art cluster has invited the top participants of the forum to the 2024 art festival.
