Work on the construction of nearby railway tracks to the port of Lavna is planned to be completed in December

2 July 2024In the Murmansk Region, construction of nearby railway approaches to the Lavna seaport continues. The work is planned to be fully completed in December 2024, reports the B-port news agency.
At the moment, the construction of buildings for domestic and industrial purposes, as well as the Lavna traction substation with a capacity of 150 kV, is underway. In parallel with this, builders are laying utility lines, installing the upper track and turnouts.
At the Vykhodnoy, Murmashi-2 and Promezhutochnaya stations, buildings for domestic and industrial purposes are being erected, as well as the laying of utilities, the installation of the upper track and turnouts. A 1,444 km traction substation with a capacity of 110 kV is being built in Murmansk.
Along the entire length of the railway line under construction, work is underway to install a contact network, lay communication cables, install power supply cables and construct buildings and transport security structures. In addition, sections of highways falling within the construction zone are being reconstructed.
Work traffic on the section from Vykhodnoy station to Lavna station was opened in December last year. Full commissioning of the railway line is planned for this year. The implementation of the project will allow the delivery of 18 mn tons of cargo per year to the port.
