The list includes 16 agglomerations located in nine regions in the Arctic zone of Russia: Kemsko-Belomorskaya (Karelia), Vorkuta (Komi), Tiksi-Naiba (Yakutia), Norilsk-Dudinka, Dikson and Igarka (all — Krasnoyarsk Territory), Arkhangelskaya (Arkhangelsk Region), Murmanskaya, Kirovsko-Apatitskaya and Monchegorskaya (all — Murmansk Region), Naryan-Mar (Nenets Autonomous Area), Pevek and Anadyr (Chukotka Autonomous Area), Novy Urengoy, Salekhard-Labytnangi and Noyabrsk (Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area).
