'The Arctic: Territory of Dialogue' International Arctic Forum will be held in St. Petersburg on 11–13 April 2022

'On 11–13 April 2022, St. Petersburg will host the VI International Arctic Forum "The Arctic: Territory of Dialogue",' the Roscongress Foundation said in a statement quoted by RIA-Novosti news agency.
The forum will discuss improving the quality of life of the Arctic region's population, preserving its environmental potential, ensuring sustainable socio-economic development of the polar regions and strengthening international cooperation to this end.
According to Anton Kobyakov, Executive Secretary of the Forum's Organising Committee and Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, for Russia, as the country holding the Chairmanship of the Arctic Council, the Forum venue is of practical importance in addressing key issues in the Arctic.
'The IAF is a unique space for constructive cooperation with international and regional structures, as well as an opportunity to focus on Russian and international priorities, including climate change and the environment, economic cooperation in the Arctic, sustainable development of the transport infrastructure, and the development of human capital,' Kobyakov said in a statement.
