Northerners to regain rights to housing subsidies
Owning land in the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation is not grounds for denying subsidies.
3 July 2024Far North residents who own land plots for house construction will not lose their right to housing subsidies. This bill was passed in its second and third readings at the State Duma plenary session on 3 July. This is reported by the Parlamentskaya Gazeta.
Vyacheslav Loginov, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, noted that the initiative was developed in compliance with a Constitutional Court ruling.
The condition excluding those with land for house construction outside the Far North and equivalent areas will not apply to citizens registered as eligible for housing subsidies before the amendments to the relevant federal law (228-FZ) take effect.
