In 2023, St. Petersburg's enterprises and organisations tripled their agreements with partners from the Arctic regions of Russia, leading to a more than 20% increase in trade turnover. This was reported by TASS.

'By the end of 2023, St. Petersburg's trade turnover with the Arctic regions of our country had reached RUB 40.1 bn, marking a 21% increase from the previous year. The increase is supported by data monitoring the procurement of goods, works and services in the Russian Arctic, facilitated by St. Petersburg enterprises,' as stated in the report.

As reported by the city administration, competitive procedures conducted in 2023 resulted in the conclusion of 5,913 agreements. Last year, 1,114 suppliers from St. Petersburg found partners in the Arctic, marking an 89% increase from 2022.
