Two trade and logistics centres to be inaugurated in the Arctic zone of Yakutia before the end of the year

The construction of the TLC is being executed as per the directive of Aysen Nikolaev, the Head of Yakutia, with the aim to provide Arctic residents with essential goods at reasonable prices and to facilitate the storage of vegetables and products.

Two Arctic trade and logistics centres (TLCs) in the Zhigansky and Bulunsky districts are set to be operational in Yakutia by the end of the year, with internal construction work currently being finalised. This was reported by the press service of the Republic of Sakha government.

In the Zhigansky district's Zhigansk settlement, the TLC under construction is undergoing installation of internal heating, water and power supply systems, as well as internal finishing work, preparatory work for pouring concrete pavement and territory planning. The facility is expected to be up and running by the end of November this year.

At the trade and logistics centre in the Tiksi settlement, Bulunsky district, situated on the Laptev Sea coast, a warehouse with a vegetable storage facility has been heated, with finishing works and power supply system installations nearing completion. The TLC store has finished installing partitions and is now working on installing engineering systems. The facility is planned to be operational by the end of December this year.

Recall that the Arctic trade and logistics centres are being established as part of the Head of Yakutia's decree on the Socio-Economic Development Strategy for the Arctic Zone of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) until 2035. As per Aysen Nikolaev's directive, trade and logistics centres are expected to be established in all 13 Arctic regions of the republic by the end of 2025.
