This year, 23 houses will be built for indigenous families living a traditional way of life in the north of the region. There were 44 applications for social benefits for housing. More than RUB 120 mn have been allocated for this purpose in the regional budget. The news was reported by the media office of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Government.

Support is available to residents of the Taimyrsky, Dolgano-Nenetsky, Turukhansky and Evenkisky districts that are in need of housing, live under social rent, and have a plot of land under ownership, lease or free-of-charge use rights. The area of each house to be built must be at least 50 sq m.

The agency will transfer the first social payments for building houses to applicants' special accounts as early as April. Recipients will directly contract with a contractor to build the house. The advance for the start of construction will be 30%, with the remaining balance to be paid to the contractor on completion of the work.
