The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation supported the project on testing of cargo UAVs in NAA in 2023
The project results will be applicable to all regions where transport between sparsely populated areas is complicated by climatic peculiarities and seasonal floods.
1 July 2023The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation supports the project to introduce an experimental legal regime (ELR) for the implementation of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) operation in the Nenets Autonomous Area (NAA), Interfax reports citing the ministry's press service.
'The NAA is planning to introduce an ELR on UAS operations as early as this year. The initiative proposal of TC Integration LLC and other companies was supported by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. The project provides for the possibility of using drones with a maximum take-off weight of more than 30 kg to perform aerial work and air transportation of cargoes weighing from 0.1 kg to 1.5 tons,' the report states.
Six ELR subjects are planning to participate in the project implementation: Empaero JSC, TS Integration LLC, Ecolibri JSC, Federal Autonomous Organization 'Siberian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation named after S.A. Chaplygin,' Aeroscript Research Center LLC and SibNIA-Test Aviation Certification Centre JSC. The ELR programme envisages the joining of other project participants as well.
