The creation of smart greenhouses has begun in the Russian part of the Arctic. Lenta.ru reports on the innovation in Norilsk, citing the Ministry of Education and Science.

Polar State University researchers have developed an automated system for controlling greenhouse microclimates using fuzzy logic methods.

The neuro fuzzy self-teaching system effectively responds to sensor readings and, therefore, can predict the range of changes in environmental conditions when anomalies are detected. Such systems will be relevant for Norilsk, notes the press service of the agency. Furthermore, it is anticipated that artificial intelligence will assist in developing new agricultural strategies within the Arctic Circle.
