Sechin reveals how much of Rosneft's discovered resources are in the Arctic

17 June 2023Rosneft's discovered resources in the Arctic zone amount to about 25 bn tons of oil equivalent, the company's head Igor Sechin said. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
'With climate change come new opportunities related to access to resources in the Arctic zone, and where the resources already discovered by our Company alone amount to some 25 bn tons of oil equivalent,' Sechin said, speaking at SPIEF with a speech entitled 'Sodom and Gomorrah in the Energy Market: God's Punishment or Organised Chaos? Run For Your Life' on the panel discussion on the energy market.
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) runs from 14–17 June.
