Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the idea of bonuses for government employees in the Arctic from their first working days

The governor of the YNAA said that there is a personnel shortage in many structures of the Arctic zone due to the current method of bonus payments. As he said, the local management could find much more solutions if the 'northern' bonuses could be paid from the first day. Doctors, teachers and coaches have already switched to this kind of payment as an experiment, he said.

Vladimir Putin agreed with the suggestion to speed up the payments. The president promised to give a corresponding instruction to the government. 'I think it's fair. That's the direction we need to go. I will definitely give instructions to the government to calculate and make proposals as soon as possible,' he said.
