During the Eastern Economic Forum, Novatek and Rosseti signed an agreement for the technical integration of Murmansk LNG with power grids, as reported by a TASS correspondent.

Andrey Ryumin, CEO of Rosseti, stated that the project, with a capacity of 900 MW, is set to be completed within four years.

Nikolay Shulginov, Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, pointed out that the connection plan involves using reserve capacity, including from the Kola Nuclear Power Plant. 'I think this is the beginning of a long-term partnership on other projects as well,' he said.

'This is our most significant project in the Northwest, with a capacity of 900 MW. We haven't undertaken a project of this scale there before and don't plan to in the near future. The deadline is tight—we have to do everything in less than four years,' Ryumin said. He further stated that the company will commence the project's design and execution shortly.
