SAFFARM, a new resident of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation (AZRF), will launch a major pharmaceutical complex in Murmansk in the last quarter of 2027. The new facility will focus on the production of general, hormonal and oncological drugs, with its products substituting the import of such medications into Russia.

‘The pharmaceutical complex will facilitate the production of pharmaceutical forms primarily for hormonal, general and oncological use. Advanced equipment will enable the manufacturing of medicines in various forms such as tablets, capsules, injections, ointments, drops and many others. The total production of drugs will reach 1.3 billion units per year, with potential for future expansion,’ stated Kumar Divesh, CEO of SAFFARM LLC, adding that approximately 10% of the products can be exported.

During the project's implementation, a single-story pharmaceutical complex building spanning 14.5 thousand sq. meters will be constructed and equipped with essential production machinery. The enterprise is set to be operational by the end of 2027. The project, significant for both Russia and India, will be implemented within the planned timeframe with maximum fund efficiency, thanks to tax benefits, administrative preferences of the AZRF regime and support from the Russian Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic, the Russian Far East and Arctic Development Corporation and regional authorities.
