The first floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant for the Arctic LNG-2 project, which is being produced in the Murmansk Region, is scheduled to be shipped to the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area this summer. This was announced by Murmansk Region Governor Andrey Chibis, TASS reported.

The governor also added that the Lavna port is being completed in the region, which will increase the region's cargo turnover. 'This is a key priority for the Murmansk Region. The North Sea Route—Murmansk is the base port for the development of the North Sea Route, and everything that concerns the development of export deliveries through this artery is important to us,' he said, explaining that a group working on the topic of logistics and exports made proposals for the development of the NSR at the workshop-meeting.
