4 October 2021The Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) and the Ministry for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic have signed a partnership agreement, which involves joint work on staffing the region. This was reported to TASS by the ASI press service.
Svetlana Chupsheva, director general of the ASI, and Aleksey Chekunov, head of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Arctic, signed the agreement.
'The parties agreed to facilitate the implementation of investment projects in the Far East and the Arctic, to develop the professional mobility of young employees in small and medium-sized businesses, as well as in the social services,' the press service said.
According to Chekunkov, a large number of new enterprises will be established in the Far East in the coming years, including as a result of signing agreements with investors during the Eastern Economic Forum. 'New jobs with decent wages will be created. Substantial human resources are required to support the operation of existing production facilities and the launch of new ones in the macroregion, as well as in the Russian Arctic. Our joint efforts will first and foremost be focused on solving this problem, using the best practices and expertise of our partners, enterprises and regions,' the press service quotes Aleksey Chekunov.
According to Svetlana Chupsheva, Director General of ASI, the agency has long been active in the Far East developing its initiatives and projects. 'Today, ASI's expertise and ecosystem services in the field of education and human resources became useful tools for improving the investment climate of the regions. Together with the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Arctic, we are ready to provide our investors with new solutions for staffing, the development of the expert community and regional educational infrastructure in order to fully unlock the investment potential of the Far East and the Arctic. We will also support the development of education, social and human resources segments in these regions,' she said.
