Yakutia has increased tin production
Yakutia's tin output in the first six months of 2022 was 360 tons, up 12% from 2021.
13 January 2023The first resident of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation from Yakutia, Yanolovo, set a production record. This was reported by the Metal Supply and Sales Magazine.
'Last year, the first concentrate from Tirekhtyakh was shipped. We now understand that Yanolovo is starting to develop the Tirekhtyakh field fairly confidently. We have a positive outlook on the future of this project here,' Aysen Nikolayev, head of the republic, said earlier.
As the regional Ministry of Industry and Geology clarified, it is the only tin mining company in Yakutia and the first AZRF resident from the region.
The company mines tin at the Ruchey Tirekhtyakh deposit in the Ust-Yansk district. In 2021, tin production of 629 tons started.
