Murmansk will get new trolleybuses. This decision was taken following a meeting of the Presidium of the State Commission for Arctic Development, chaired by Yury Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District. This is what the press service of the Murmansk regional government tells us.

'This decision will significantly renew the trolleybus fleet in Murmansk. The state development corporation VEB.RF will provide concessional financing for this purpose. The new trolleybuses will come on line in autumn. We will continue to help our Arctic cities to improve urban transport and upgrade social infrastructure,' said Yury Trutnev.

The State Transport Leasing Company (STLC) will be the supplier of the vehicles. It will receive concessional financing from the state development corporation VEB.RF in the amount of RUB 353 mn for seven years for the purchase of 30 trolleybuses and their subsequent leasing to the carrier (JSC Electrotransport).
