On 14 March, the MegaFon company finished debugging the equipment and increasing the satellite resource in the northernmost city of Russia. As a result, the speed of mobile Internet for subscribers from Pevek has almost doubled, reports Chukotka News Agency.

'Since 14 March, the satellite resource in Pevek has augmented from 120 Mbit/s to 220 Mbit/s. Other settlements are next on the agenda. We plan to expand the channels from 1 April,' Governor Roman Kopin wrote in his telegram channel. As outlined by the MegaFon press service, similar works are to be conducted in Bilibino, Egvekinot, Provideniya and Lavrentiya next month.
