Arctic emergency rescue centre to be built in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area
EMERCOM of Russia is planning to build an Integrated Emergency Rescue Centre in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area.

This was reported by Interfax. 'Together with Dmitry Artyukhov, Governor of the region, the Minister of Emergency Situations inspected the territory of the proposed construction of the Arctic Integrated Emergency Rescue Centre and the placement of an aviation unit of the agency,' the report said.
The centre will be equipped with special machinery designed for work in northern conditions. EMERCOM specialists will respond to emergencies while operating offshore vessels, carry out rescue and search operations and clean up emergency spills.
